Today officially felt like the holidays have begun.
No alarms, no rush – just that familiar thought in my head: “Okay, how do I keep the kids happily busy and still take care of myself?”
It’s a different kind of planning now – less about schedules and more about balance. Finding ways to create fun family moments while also protecting a little time for my daily mindfulness practice.
🫰🏼A Day Well Spent
We didn’t overthink today.
We spent time together, watched a movie, laughed, and simply enjoyed being around each other. The kids were happy, relaxed, and fully present – and honestly, that alone made the day feel successful.
There’s something comforting about these simple days. Nothing extraordinary, yet everything feels right.
🧘♀️ Mindfulness in Holiday Mode
I realised that during holidays, mindfulness has to be flexible.
It’s not about long sessions or perfect routines – it’s about staying aware and grounded in the middle of family life.
Even a few quiet moments, a conscious breath, or a pause between activities counts. And today, that felt enough.
💛 Gratitude of the Day
I’m grateful for:
happy kids shared laughter relaxed family time the freedom to slow down and the ability to enjoy the present moment
Kids happy… I’m happy.
That simple equation says it all.
✨ Closing Thought
Day 41 reminded me that mindfulness doesn’t disappear during holidays – it just changes form. When you’re present with your family, enjoying time together, that presence itself becomes the practice.
A simple, joyful day – and exactly what we needed. 🤍
