Today started early, just the way I like it. I followed my usual routine — meditation, affirmations, gratitude writing – but something felt different. My body was tired, a little achy, my head was heavy, and I could feel that lack of proper rest catching up with me.
💫 Listening to My Body (Even When I Don’t Want To)
Even though I showed up for my routine, my body was clearly asking for extra care.
I felt:
- lethargic
- low on energy
- slight headache
- uncomfortable in my own skin
It wasn’t the perfect “productive” morning.
But it was real.
🧘♀️ The Power of Affirmations
At one point I caught myself spiraling into negative thoughts like “I won’t be able to continue today”.
So I paused.
I sat down.
And I spoke affirmations out loud:
✨ “My body is healing. My energy is returning. I am safe. I am strong.”
✨ “Every breath is restoring me.”
✨ “I choose to feel better.”
And honestly… something shifted.
Not instantly, but gently — like a soft wave.
My mind felt lighter, my body loosened up, and the heaviness reduced.
🌟 A Small Realisation That Felt Big
Today I witnessed, in a very raw way, how much our belief influences our energy.
Mindfulness isn’t only about perfect days with perfect routines.
It’s also about moments like these —
when you feel low
but you still choose kindness over criticism,
awareness over panic,
and healing over complaining.
Maybe this is the real proof that mindfulness is working for me.
🌧 Not Every Day is Bright, But Every Day Can Be Mindful
Some days our bodies feel weak.
Some days our minds feel foggy.
Some days everything feels “off.”
And yet, these days teach us the most:
- to slow down
- to breathe deeply
- to trust the process
- and to believe in the healing happening quietly inside us
🙏 Grateful for Today, Even in Its Imperfection
I’m thankful for the discomfort because it showed me the power I hold within.
I’m thankful for the affirmations that shifted my mood.
I’m thankful that I didn’t give up on the routine, even at 50% energy.
And I’m thankful for this journey that is shaping me from the inside out.
Day 20 reminded me that self-belief is medicine… and mindfulness truly works when life gets messy.
