Today marks Day 3 of my 90-day mindfulness journey, and it came with its own lessons. I slept late last night, so waking up at 4:00 am felt heavy and challenging. For a moment, I wanted to stay under the blanket but then I remembered my promise to myself – to show up even if it is not easy.
So I took a deep breath and slowly got out of bed.
🌅 A Slow but Intentional Start
I began my morning with warm water, followed by ghee water, and took a calming bath to refresh my mind. I wasn’t feeling very energized, but I chose to move at a slower pace instead of rushing.
Then I sat for my 15-minute meditation, and today it felt different — my mind wandered more than usual. Thoughts about the day ahead kept coming in, but each time, I gently brought my focus back to my breath. I’m learning that mindfulness also means accepting the messy days.
After meditation, I recited my affirmations:
“I choose to be present. I choose peace. I choose myself.”
🌿 Finding Balance Through Movement
I made breakfast for my children, and we had a peaceful start together. Later, I went for a walk in the park the fresh air felt like exactly what I needed. The sunlight, the sound of leaves, the simple act of walking… it helped me come back into my body.
Even though I felt a bit tired, the walk reminded me that moving slowly is still moving forward.
📖 Feeding My Mind Gently
Today I wasn’t in the mood for too much reading or heavy thoughts, so I kept it simple a few mindful quotes, a little journaling, and a promise to be kinder to myself.
One quote stood out to me:
“Rest is also a part of growth.”
It made me realize that mindfulness isn’t only about doing it’s also about allowing yourself to just be.
✨ My Daily Affirmation
“I honor my pace. Even on slow days, I am growing.”
☀️ Reflection
Day 3 taught me that mindfulness isn’t always about feeling calm or energised sometimes it’s about showing up exactly as you are. It’s about listening to your body, accepting your emotions, and slowing down when needed.
Even with less sleep and lower energy, I stayed consistent. And that, to me, is progress.
If you’re on your own journey and have days where you feel tired or unmotivated, remember – gentle consistency is more powerful than perfection.
Here’s to Day 3: slow, steady, and full of self-awareness. 🌿
