Today began a little differently. Even though I woke up again at 4:00 am, my body felt heavier than yesterday. My hands were slightly shaky, and for a moment, I thought about going back to bed. But something inside whispered, “You promised yourself this.”
So, I got up slowly, gently and continued with my practice.
🌅 Morning Flow and Inner Resistance
I started with warm water, then water with ghee, and stood quietly for a few moments before taking a bath. My mind wasn’t as still as it was on Day 1; thoughts came and went, and my body felt slightly off balance.
But that’s when I reminded myself mindfulness isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being aware.
I acknowledged how I felt the tiredness, the shakiness and instead of resisting it, I simply breathed through it.
After my bath, I sat down for 15 minutes of meditation. My mind wandered a few times, but each time, I gently brought my focus back to my breath. I repeated my affirmations silently:
“I am calm. I am grounded. I am safe in my body.”
By the end of the meditation, my breath had slowed, and my body began to settle. That small shift felt like a quiet victory.
🌿 Simple Acts, Deep Awareness
Once I felt more centered, I made breakfast for my children and went for my walk in the park. The first few minutes, I still felt slightly light-headed, but I moved slowly, noticing each step. The fresh air, the sound of the morning birds, and the sunlight filtering through the trees reminded me how healing simple things can be when we’re fully present.
By the end of the walk, my energy had lifted. I felt lighter not because everything was perfect, but because I didn’t give up.
📖 Feeding My Mind with Positivity
Later in the day, I spent some quiet time journaling and reading a few mindful quotes. One in particular stayed with me:
“You don’t have to be calm to begin — you become calm by beginning.”
That felt true today. Sometimes the body or mind resists, but if we continue gently, we remind ourselves that calmness grows through consistency.
🌼 My Daily Affirmation
“Even when I feel unsteady, I return to my breath.
With each moment of awareness, I find my balance again.”
☀️ Reflection
Day 2 reminded me that not every day will feel smooth and that’s okay. Mindfulness isn’t about feeling peaceful all the time; it’s about staying present even when things feel uncertain.
Today, I practiced patience with my body, my thoughts, and my expectations. I realized that true progress comes from compassion, not pressure. The more gently I approach myself, the more naturally calm follows.
If you’re reading this and having one of those “off” days, remember it’s part of the process. Breathe through it. Try again tomorrow. The moments when you feel shaky are often when real growth begins.
Here’s to showing up not perfectly, but mindfully. 🌿
